Qing Tuan (Spring Mochi) – A Traditional Chinese Delicacy
Qing Tuan, also known as Spring Mochi, is a traditional Chinese pastry made during the spring season. The star ingredient in Qing Tuan is fresh mugwort (艾草, ai cao), a plant that gives the mochi its vibrant green color and unique herbal flavor. In Chinese culture, mugwort is believed to have health benefits, symbolizing renewal and the welcoming of spring. Qing Tuan is often enjoyed during the Qingming Festival, a time to honor ancestors and embrace the seasonal change.

We offer four unique flavors of Qing Tuan, each crafted with the finest ingredients:
1. Osmanthus Red Bean Paste: A fragrant floral blend of osmanthus flowers and smooth red bean paste.
2. Black Sesame: A rich, nutty filling of black sesame paste complemented by crispy pine nuts.
3. Salted Egg Yolk & Pork Floss: A savory option with the classic combination of salted egg yolk and tender, savory pork floss.
4. Taro Coconut Cheese: A creamy mix of taro, coconut, and cheese for a sweet yet savory treat.
Making Qing Tuan involves a meticulous process where fresh mugwort is blended with glutinous rice flour to create a soft, chewy dough. This dough is then shaped into small balls and filled with various sweet or savory fillings. The mochi is carefully steamed to perfection, ensuring a delicate texture.

Availability
Qing Tuan will be available from April 2nd to April 6th for preorders online. After this period, we will have a limited quantity available in-store for walk-in customers.
